We wanted an open plan design ideal for entertaining. Creating a home that is environmentally aware was also of high importance not just to reduce our carbon footprint, but also to be cost-effective and increase comfort and lifestyle. Secondary to this we wanted the home to push a few boundaries, showcasing new ideas and individuality so that we could use it as a showpiece and an example of our work to present to our clients.
The home has a very unique pavilion style floor plan, merging the borders between indoor and outdoor living. The pool in the internal courtyard is a visual feast from the moment you enter the house and continues to feature from all areas of the home. The layout leaves no room forgotten, each with a green, private outlook and capturing the sun in winter and the north easterly breezes of summer. Featuring layers of texture the home boasts an abundance of stone and timber creating an earthy, natural ambience equal to the light, open, contemporary feel.
